Project templates over time can get overpopulated with unnecessary items especially if it was started from an existing project, has had details pulled in from existing projects or families brought in from other projects. Or maybe you’re starting a new template from an existing project and you want to remove and swap over all those dimension styles or text styles to just one or two standardized styles. Maybe you want to take all those door parameters and make them into shared parameters, or you might have two shared parameter files and want to convert them into one master file.
In this webinar we will go over the type swapper and the shared parameter manager in the BIM Manager Suite. I’ll show how you can use the type swapper to lean out your current project and project template by swapping and deleting unnecessary or redundant dimensions styles, text types and line styles to name a few. I’ll also show how to quickly bulk add shared parameters vs the conventional manual method of adding shared parameters and lastly, I’ll show how to consolidate two files into one master file.
