Revit is a powerful BIM software that provides a wide range of capabilities for designing and documenting building projects. One of these many features is the ability to create a customized group of related building components called a family that can be saved and reused in other projects. Any type of information regarding the components can be stored as parameters within the family and those parameters can be used to drive intelligent schedules for BIM projects.
However, Revit has its limitations when it comes to editing these families and schedules. There are times when some of these parameters do not behave as intended, especially when making any changes or additions to complicated families after they are used in the project.
