Bluebeam Studio Prime is Retiring

Bluebeam will retire their Studio Prime product to make room for enhanced offerings. Here's what you need to know to get prepared.

What is happening, and when?

Bluebeam is continuing to bring value to subscription customers by improving our integrations program, removing the paywall for customers to use integrations, and improving our user management functionality for all customers using Studio Sessions and Projects. As a result of these improvements, we are planning to move our Studio Prime product towards an End-of-Life state by  the end of 2025.

Currently:
  • Bluebeam is no longer selling Studio Prime to customers who only need the Prime Integrations functionality. Our new integrations platform no longer requires customers to use Studio Prime to enable integrations.
  • Bluebeam will continue to sell Studio Prime to customers who need Studio Prime’s Studio User Management functionality.
After January 1, 2025:
  • Bluebeam will only issue or renew Studio Prime Licenses for up to one year for customers who need the Studio User Management functionality. Customers are encouraged to prorate their Prime license to December 31, 2025, to align with Prime’s EOL date.
After June 30, 2025:
  • Bluebeam will no longer sell Studio Prime for any use case.
  • Bluebeam will move Studio Prime to End-of-Support.
  • Customers needing User Management features will have the option to migrate to new User Management features in Org Admin.
After December 31, 2025:
  • Bluebeam will move Studio Prime-to-End of Life. Customers will no longer be able to access or use any Studio Prime features.

Why is Bluebeam doing this?

Bluebeam is investing in better technology that provides users with a better, more seamless experience that will bring more value to your subscription. By removing the paywall to enable integrations, we have made it easier for you to connect your workflows and use the connected applications that Bluebeam supports.

We are also centralizing all User Management functionality in our Org Admin platform. This will be your one stop shop to manage your users including user-level permissions for different Bluebeam applications.

Who does this affect?

These changes affect all customers that use Studio Prime for integrations and/or Studio user management.

Can I continue to use Studio Prime?

If you used Studio Prime for integrations, you will no longer need Prime to enable a supported integration. Bluebeam’s new integrations platform creates a seamless experience enabling users to access connected applications. Several of Bluebeam’s featured integration partners are actively working on migrating to the new platform by December 31, 2024, with the rest to be complete in early 2025.

If you use Studio Prime for Studio user management, you can continue to use Prime until December 31, 2025. As we centralize this functionality in Org Admin, we will announce new user management capabilities that will be available to customers in June 2025. We encourage you to migrate to our new Studio user management solution in Org Admin once it becomes available.

How do I use the integrations via Bluebeam's new integrations platform?

Existing integration partners are migrating to the new platform. You can work directly with the software partners who developed the integration, to upgrade to their latest version. We will provide links to our partner websites on our Integrations landing page. You do not have to take any action on your Bluebeam account to use integrations via the new platform.

If you want to develop a new integration with our Public API, please contact integrations@bluebeam.com
