Meet the Team- Bill Grimm & Tyler Fleming
The Christmas season is officially upon us with this first week of December. As we begin celebrating with family and friends, ATG is truly grateful to our customers for gifting us with a fantastic 2017. Bill Grimm and Tyler Fleming are our two spotlighted employees in this week’s Meet the Team Monday. Both bring a wealth of knowledge about the AEC world and detail how they enjoy meeting their customer’s needs.
Bill Grimm, Account Executive, ATG West
After graduating college as a Respiratory Therapist, I worked in a hospital for 20 years, performing all sorts of respiratory procedures and positions. One thing I am most proud of during my time as a RT, is that I helped create a camp for asthmatic children called Camp Not-A-Wheeze. I then went into Respiratory Medical device sales. A brief stop at CADsoft Consulting, and then more Respiratory medical device sales, and now back with ATG West. I strive daily to treat my customers like my patients, making sure all of their needs are taken care of in an efficient and timely fashion.
How long have you worked for ATG Headquarters?
I returned to CADsoft Consulting after a 9 year stint working for a medical device manufacturer. I traveled extensively in this role, putting a strain on my family. Coming back to ATG allowed me to have less travel, and a better work life balance.
What does your day-to-day role at ATG look like?
No two days are the same. Some days I will be at the phone calling customers who I may not be able to see in person. Some days I will be out seeing customers face-to-face. Face-to-Face meetings are important for me because customers want to know the person they do business with.
What do you like most about working for ATG?
The excitement! Helping my clients get the most from their Autodesk software and services is very rewarding for me, being able to know that I helped someone design and build something is very gratifying.
What kind of good things do you see in the future for ATG?
An expanded role in Government sales is one thing I am very much looking forward to. By expanding the government team, ATG West will be able to service more Government entities. Government entities have their own unique set of needs, such as the military not being able to utilize cloud based products. Additionally, the native American communities who may not have accurate GIS data for their Nations, are a market I am excited about reaching out to. We can bring all of ATG’s expertise to help these entities.
Tyler Fleming, Account Executive, ATG Headquarters
I’m from central Arkansas, I lived in Kansas for 7 years while going to college and working in the fitness industry. I always worked construction during high school and college, then when I moved back to Arkansas, I started traveling and building gas station canopies all over the country before coming to ATG USA. I brought my customer service abilities from the fitness industry and my passion and respect for the construction world to ATG USA to provide the best assistance to my customers. Outside of work I’m usually at the gym, playing softball or working on my not so impressive golf game. Never a dull moment!
How long have you worked for ATG Headquarters?
I’ve been employed at ATG for 9 months.
What are the most pressing issues facing your customers?
The most pressing issue I see is customers trying to keep up with the evolving software and technology in the AEC world. There’s always something new- whether it’s ways to save time or money. Frequently, I see my customers not having enough time to take advantage of training and educational opportunities.
How do you help with these issues?
I help by learning my customer’s typical projects and the workflow involved. Once I understand this we can discuss new technology or provide resources that can save them time and money.
What is the key to maintaining a successful relationship as an Autodesk reseller?
A few things I think are important is being transparent with the customer. Providing quick informative feedback if I have a voicemail or email. Keeping my customers informed on any webinars, promotions, or other educational events that might benefit them.
What strengths do you see members from your office bringing to the other office?
Every member of our office brings their own unique strengths to the table and I’m sure that can be said about the other office. In our office you can hear the conversations each member is having with customers, and they are all very unique and tailored to the individual. Regardless of how special each message is, it’s centered around a solution that ATG can provide.
