Customer Challenge

M3 Engineering has projects all over the world that require leveraging an extensive portfolio of Autodesk software. ATG worked in conjunction with M3’s IT and leadership teams to ensure that M3 had the tools they needed to meet their growth plan goals over the next five years.

Project Goals

The primary goal was to ensure that M3’s subscription was still tailored to their needs and appropriate for the latest growth goals of the company. To do so required acquisition of appropriate software assets to support M3’s infrastructure workflows while ensuring adoption for each discipline and staying on budget. The conversation started with questions about the switch from Maintenance to Subscription licensing with their Autodesk products.

Solutions

ATG has been instrumental to helping support and streamline M3’s platform technologies, through internal and external technical collaboration meetings. “Due to the number of different Autodesk and competitive software products in use by M3’s multiple disciplines, it made logical sense to transition their current portfolio of assets to the AEC Collection,”  said Don Kapetanovic, Director of Services, ATG.

Business Outcomes

ATG helped guide M3 through the licensing changes and software deployment process. Migrating to Subscription licensing allowed M3’s IT team to manage software distribution more effectively. Individual M3 users were granted access to a larger library of software solutions. It also positioned M3 well for future software renewals with Autodesk.

Conclusion

With the support of ATG, M3 successfully implemented changes they needed to meet project and IT deadlines. “This was a true collaborative success by leveraging ATG’s internal resources along with Autodesk to ensure M3’s future accomplishments,” said Kapetanovic.
