The large design-build electrical firm has relied on ATG’s local presence to keep their business running efficiently. When in need of a Dynamo workflow to assist in the process of filtering out text files into a different location, Brian Binkley, Director of Design, turned to ATG’s Technical Specialist Team.

In Their Own Words

Patrick Podeyn, ATG West Technical Specialist, worked closely with Brian and his team to implement a timesaving Dynamo BIM workflow. Dynamo Studio is a stand-alone programming environment that enables designers to create visual logic to explore parametric conceptual designs and automate tasks.

“The support and effort from Patrick were fantastic and unbelievably quick,” said Brian. Patrick explained, “The process of filtering out text files would normally take many hours to complete manually across 600+ text files, openings, analyzing the fields, closing and moving the necessary files. With the help of Dynamo BIM, we were able to accomplish that task in a matter of seconds, allowing Brian’s team to focus more of their time and energy elsewhere.”
