The purpose of a template (dwt) is to have a starting point for a drawing that contains the styles, settings and layers that are required for the project. The goal of a good template is to contain only the data that is required and not any unwanted information that will bloat the size of the template. The CAD manager will go in the template and create the styles and layers that are needed but will also have to go in and remove any Style or Layer that is unneeded. The issues the CAD manager will face is that a Layer cannot be deleted because a Style is referencing it. A style cannot be deleted because a Setting is referencing it. This webinar will look at an OTB workflow to help streamline this process to free up the data so that it can be deleted. From there we’ll delve into the Template Tracker to streamline this process even further.
