5 Hot Tips for AU'22

After two years without an in-person gathering for Autodesk University, we’re counting down the days to AU’22 – happening on Sept. 27-29 in New Orleans, Louisiana. Make the most of your AU experience with these five tips to help you get prepared.

Plan your sessions NOW!

This event has a TON of session offerings, and several have already filled up. Be sure you familiarize yourself with the options and get registered early for your classes. AU’s website has a convenient schedule creator to lock-in the essential sessions you need.

Side note: If there are classes that are already full, continue to check back often. If there is enough interest, Autodesk may add additional offerings for certain sessions (we saw that happen when our very own Bill Neuhauser’s Innovyze session booked up quickly!).

Get your tickets at a discount

Early bird pricing has ended, but that doesn’t mean you need to pay full price! Get your tickets through a reputable reseller like ATG. We can help you take your budget even further by offering tickets at a discounted rate. For more information on discounted tickets, you can contact the team here.

Pack well

Obviously, we’re heading to a warm New Orleans climate, but keep in mind you’ll be inside most of the day – and expo hall and conference room temperatures tend to vary widely. Be ready to rep your company well in your logo gear, but pack a jacket or hoodie too.

You’re also going to want to remember business cards, charging cables, power banks and a good bag for carrying all that swag.

Walk the floor

Speaking of packing well, be sure you bring at least one pair of comfortable shoes. The expo floor is huge – and full of helpful demos, new technology, and fascinating case studies. As you’re planning your schedule, be sure to factor in time dedicated to the expo floor, and network, network, network!

After all, if you’re only participating in sessions, you could have done that online, right?

Enjoy the locale

Another perk of being inperson is the opportunity to explore the host city – and New Orleans is packed full of great food, music, architecture, and culture. The entire ATG Team recently returned from a team-building trip to the Big Easy this spring – these were some of our favorite spots for local food!

Cafe Beignet is every bit as good as the famous Café Dumonde, but with a much shorter line!

You have to go to Dragos! Two words: Chargrilled. Oysters.

If you’re looking for a great breakfast, skip the hotel catering and go to Mother’s. YOU’RE WELCOME. 😁

Cochon Butcher makes the best Cubano sandwich I’ve ever had. Pair that with some bougie Mac n’ cheese and it’s heaven.

Don’t sleep on the sushi scene in NOLA. Book a spot at Yo Nashi, a discrete and highly rated spot off the beaten path that’ll knock your socks off.
